Subject: Instructional Equipment and Library Materials Allocation of Funds

Laney College received approval for an allocation of $581,600 in Instructional Equipment and Library Materials Funds for 2000-01. $559,295 will be used to fund prioritized items one (1) though four (4) in Clusters I through VII. A balance of $22,305 will cover estimated cost overages and equipment repairs.

The final Instructional Equipment and Library Materials Cluster lists were disseminated at the Laney Council Meeting on December 6, 2000 and the Department Chairperson meeting, December 7, 2000. Additional copies may be obtained from departmental managers. If you have not done so already, please work with the appropriate manager to initiate purchase requisitions prior to the semester break.

An opportunity exists for an allocation of additional funds in January 2001. If additional funds are approved, prioritized items five (5) through six (6) in each of the seven clusters will be funded. We remain hopeful and will keep you informed in order to expedite purchasing processes.
